Feel the Heat, Move to the Beat of Reggaetón, Soca and Afrobeat!

When: Friday, March 22, 2024, from 8 p.m. until midnight

Where: the Algonquin College Observatory (Building A), Ottawa.

Whether you call it a Fête, Fiesta, or a Party, the core concept remains: Good music, food and lots of dancing. The Caribbean, Latin America and Africa have longstanding ties. Using Reggeatón, Soca, Afrobeats and adjacent genres, we aim to bring a night of true tropical fusion to the campus. Come and warm up all for a great cause.

Tickets are $25.

There is also a Taste of the Tropics food sampler for $10.

Other activities include a photo booth, silent auction and tables from the Caribbean United Student Society, the African Student Alliance, and the Latino Club.

All proceeds from this event will go to Roger Neilson House, a pediatric palliative care centre in Ottawa.
