Emily Aguiar
Campaign Coordinator - Client Liaison
Emily is transitioning to a career in public relations after eight years as a dedicated nurse. She was drawn to the program because of its emphasis on strong writing and strategic communication.
Emily hopes to merge her healthcare background with her public relations skills to support organizations that make a difference. Emily was inspired by Harmony House’s mission to provide women with a safe and dignified place to heal, a cause that aligns closely with her values and career goals.

Moncef Hilmi
Campaign Coordinator - Media Relations
Moncef was born in Morocco and raised on the outskirts of the Greater Toronto Area. As the son of an immigrant mother who came to Canada alone to escape violence, he understands firsthand the importance of community support like that offered by Harmony House.
A fan of visual storytelling, Moncef enjoys using creative tools to amplify meaningful messages. He plans to pursue agency work and looks forward to exploring different roles as he finds his voice in public relations.

Clarence Charron
Sponsorship Lead
Clarence brings a decade of show business experience, having coordinated conferences, concert tours, and an annual cocktail party this past January, which broke previous attendance records by 500%.
A published academic and award-winning polymath, he has represented Canada on the world stage, and is preparing to release his first book. Clarence is passionate about working for a cause close to his heart.

Ephraim Makonda
Special Projects
Ephraim is a former cabin crew member who relocated to Ottawa t pursue a new career path. With years of experience in the airline industry, she brings strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine appreciation for human connection.
Having a close family member affected by domestic violence, Ephraim holds this issue close to her heart. She aims to build a career in diplomacy while continuing her advocacy for those impacted by domestic violence.

Layla Munir
Social Media Lead
Layla joined the PR program after moving from Toronto to Ottawa and currently serves as the social media lead for our campaign.
She is excited to use her voice and education to support Harmony House in creating a space where their clients can truly thrive.

Jack MacGillivray
Research & Content Editor
As a member of the campaign's launch committee, he aims to contribute to an event that establishes the importance of fighting gender-based violence in Ottawa.
He also looks forward to the opportunity to develop his PR skills while working this event. Having been born in a rural area outside of Ottawa, Jack hopes to take these new skills home and share Harmony House’s mission with a wider audience.

Vofee Diabate
Special Projects - Ad Hoc
Vofee Diabate is Guinean by nationality. He moved to Canada in 2023 to continue his education.
He is an advocate for peace and social justice and serves as the special project ad hoc for the final campaign launch, Room to Bloom. He believes in giving back to society, which deeply motivated him to join hands with his classmates and Harmony House to raise awareness and funds in support of women and children fleeing violence.

Sasha Francoeur
Research & Content Editor
Sasha is a returning student with a strong interest in research, writing, teamwork and problem-solving. She values the opportunity to apply these skills throughout the campaign.
A daughter of an immigrant who has helped newcomers to Canada escape gender-based violence, Sasha feels a deep personal connection to this campaign.
After completing her public relations diploma, Sasha hopes to work with non-profit organizations to help advance causes that matter.

Brianna Hopkins
Secretary
Brianna’s love for animals helped shape her into the caring, nurturing person she is today. In her last two jobs, she held leadership roles as a supervisor, and she brings great energy, organization, and fresh ideas to our team.
Brianna is excited to help with our third and final event, and even more excited to support such an important cause and give back to the community. She is very excited for the hands opportunity to work for a non-profit, as she would like to work for this type of organization

Alexandre Pilon
Media Relations Lead
Alexandre is the lead of the Media Relations team. Having showcased his abilities by getting the Room to Bloom campaign on CTV Morning Live, Alexandre aspires to work for the Government of Canada in the future.
He's excited to showcase his talents further throughout the campaign, as well as at his event, the Housewarming Party. Alexandre looks forward to spreading the message of Harmony House and raising as many donations for the cause as possible.
